Mirrors, reflections are used often as a poetic subject,

Write about the fact that a mirror doesn't lie. It exposes our flaws, It may even mock us.

Think of a mirror with the silvering flaking, crumbling, as an analogy / metaphor for us as we age.

Think about being the reflection, seeing yourself.
Think of you being on the back side of a mirror.
Think of one shattered, as if another analogy /metaphor, for a fragmented life.
