Question: Is this good writing?

First they laugh at you
so said Gandhi,
then they ignore you,
so also said Gandhi,
First, they attack you
so then said Gandhi,
then you win.

How false this is, for those in anomie
assault without mercy
the ones who speak truth.
A diamond in a coal mine, with an ever
yellow pillar of sunlight pushing through
breaking forth into prisms
only to be darkened by the coal dust of
those in anomie.

They hurl insults
cackling darts
jokes of jokes past
and then they assault
the intelligence
the trolls
the faux bos
that is fake friends
those who claim to have many
but instead walk with themselves
hurling insults like firebrands
and false bravado.

A flaming arrow, flies into the sky
with a target upon this narrator's back.
It falls upon him, and like Gandhi
the falling dart stings.
But this heart is not stone,
this heart is flesh
for the heart of flesh
is penetrated by the hurt.
It burns, it hurts
and then nobody sees
nobody cares
for they all throw their cackling darts
at the narrator.

The narrator cries, the narrator
drips a tear of liquid crystal
shimering just like the diamond
in the coal mine
but men of this world
throw coal upon the tear
to make a smudge of bleeding
mascara.

The narrator knows his fate
to be rich, to be loved
to be wise and to be good.
But those who throw their darts,
they will not know, nor will they ever know
for they are rich in nothing
but pride and envy.

Envy and pride
a dark, coal smudged across
a diamond,
and it stinks, and is set on fire.

Question: Which Milosz poem/writing has this line: What is better, consciousness or unconsciousness? Well, Eden didn t have a mirror... ?
