Question: Where can I find the PDF version of The Fault In Our Stars by John Green?

The book is currently protected under copyright, so any PDF version you find online for free has been pirated and is illegal, and people who post links for you here on Y!A will be violating the Terms of Service.

Try your local library if you want to read a book for free. Many libraries now even have ebooks that you can borrow for an ereader.

Question: What should I name the prison in my story?

Posted: 12 Jul 2014 04:41 AM PDT

I'm starting to write a new narrative for personal enjoyment and can't think of a name for the prison that the main characters start out in. I want a name that will sound sort of like "Incarceron", but I don't want to take names from authors. (Incarceron is a book by Catherine Fisher for those of you who don't know.) The name should also have a bit of a link to the story, so here's the description of the place:

Basically it started out as an all guys prison and was used solely for experiments to change behavioral patterns in dominant men. After the initial project lost all funding, the psychos who ran the place decided to kill all the inmates and start over with children. They kidnapped newborns and made them survive in this small prison away from all of the world. This continues for about twenty years before the actual story starts.

A boy of about 9 is placed in the prison and learns to adapt, and since he was unique he was given the number 0 as his name. Around the time that he turns 15, the first girl ever is introduced to the system. The people running the project want to see how dominant males - who've never met a female before - will act in the presence of a teenage girl.

That's the premise of the story, but I need a name for the prison, which is basically a quarantine for the men and a place where they are forced to rape one girl because of increasing reproductive desire. Any ideas?

Question: Can't remember the name of the book?

Posted: 12 Jul 2014 04:35 AM PDT

So I've been trying to find some books that are part of a young adult fantasy series for my little cousin. I cannot for the life of me remember the name or author

So some kid gets lost or runs off while on a field trip and discovers that there is a whole other part of London still in existence but hidden from the rest of the modern world (mostly). This "darker" London is still in the older ages with carriages and cobblestones and there is at least one vampire character I can remember who is some rich guy. The kid ends up working or helping some detective or journalist? There are like 3 bad guys, two guys and a girl too. There is also a girl that meets and becomes friends with the boy and she is a native of the "darker" London.

That's the first book but the second book is when the two of them discover the original family that founded that "dark" London hid there children's identity so that they wouldn't kill each other or something to early to claim their family heritage I think (blood something). Anyways a bad guy from the first book ends up being one of the daughters of this family and her brother has been killing all the other family connections as he found out their identity so he would have the...whatever he is after. Well anyways this brother is a Black Phoenix and that's how he had been killing them.

When searching for that in google I couldn't find anything so I hope someone else on here can find it. Thanks again!
