Question: Piano fingering help? Posted: 13 Jul 2014 09:17 PM PDT Hey all, what fingers should I use for my left hand on this measure? Thanks, I've been playing piano about a week and don't know proper technique
Question: Marching band flute section intonation? Posted: 13 Jul 2014 08:54 PM PDT Marching band flute section intonation? So I am the flute section leader for our marching band and one thing I want to focus on is our intonation (there are 8 of us, currently no piccolos), how should I approach this? Do you know of any free exercises I can print off that would help? Also I have also been looking into working on technical exercises, do you know of any I could print off for free? Thanks!
Question: Good music video idea??? Posted: 13 Jul 2014 08:46 PM PDT So my friend is an amazing singer. If you want to hear her, her YouTube channel is either musicspeaks214 or Claudia Isabella. Not the point. I am making a music video for her and here is the script. PLEASE GIVE ME ANY OPINION OR SUGGESTION. *she has thick eyeliner, grunge look, all black clothes* If I need fill shots then I'll film her playing the piano and singing then. Video is black and white.
Question: Would voice or dance benefit me more? Posted: 13 Jul 2014 07:05 PM PDT Would voice or dance benefit me more? So I really want to be an actress. I would either like to be on broadway or in film. I'm 14 and trying to prepare myself for my vocation. My question is if I wanted to be on broadway what would benefit me more voice or dance lessons? I'm currently taking piano(no way I can quit) and can afford to take on something else.
Question: Tips for new marching band members? Posted: 13 Jul 2014 06:45 PM PDT Hello! For memorizing, take about two measures at a time and repeat them until you got them. Add on two more and memorize those. Add two more and so on. See if it works for you. Also try and take notice of what other instruments are playing. It helps you figure out where your part fits in. For marching, stop trying to think so much. Marching is actually a very natural thing. Concentrate on the music. Listen to the drum lines beat. You should be able to feel it in your steps. But all in all, enjoy the experience :) You'll get the hang of things soon enough. You have the other band members there to help and support you all the way. Good luck! Senior in marching band. Drum line!
