Arts & Humanities: Philosophy: “Question: Can a person ever actually be special, unique, or different, objectively?” plus 2 more |
- Question: Can a person ever actually be special, unique, or different, objectively?
- Question: When people talk about 'decisions' their hearts are making, what does that even mean?
- Question: If most people want to be taken care of BUT they are too scared to let others be in control, what does it take to push them off the fence?
| Question: Can a person ever actually be special, unique, or different, objectively? Posted: 08 Jul 2014 08:55 AM PDT Of course- there are no two individuals on earth that have the same life experiences. That alone makes us 100% unique. I believe that each person has something to tell us that we will never get except from that person. Update 1: it's physically impossible for two people to have identical life experiences, just by definition. Even if they do the same things 24/7 (which is unrealistic) they would have a different set of emotions, memories, conclusions, inferences, etc. there are too many variables to list. |
| Question: When people talk about 'decisions' their hearts are making, what does that even mean? Posted: 08 Jul 2014 08:35 AM PDT I'm pretty sure "listening to my heart" is just code for "listening to my genitals". If a woman gets tingly in the nether regions, then she's falling in love. |

You either want to be controlled and handled by a caregiver who is willing to be on the front lines for you in exchange for some gratitude and appreciation OR you want to take care of yourself and have full control over yourself and your life; why is it so hard for people to make a decision? You can't be in control of your life AND have people take care of you; that would be called codependence... So if I know someone who is on the fence, or they are trying to create a codependent situation, what do I do to get them off the fence and pick a side? |
