shorthand and calligraphy pens is there a difference?

I am trying to learn (Pitman) shorthand and it said I need a special pen, when I looked it up they were pretty expensive. But I had calligraphy pens already, so i used that instead. It seems to be working, is there a big enough difference that it will effect me later on?

While I am no expert, I believe "reverse ethnography" involves an attempt to challenge the assumptions and practices of ethnography. In other words, such work points out how problematic the findings of ethnographers can be.
