I do not have the type of body to become a classical ballet dancer yet it is one of my passions. How to keep dance in my life when I'm older?
I'm looking for semi-professional dance careers, possible teaching careers, anything where I'm performing dance.
I'm 14 yrs old and looking to further my dream. I am proficient at ballet and have done dance off and on and different types for 5 yrs total.
Thanks.

Question: Too late to become a rockette? 14 yrs old.?

Too late to become a rockette? 14 yrs old.?

*I am adding as much information as possible to make myself clear, and I need information specific to me, so please read it all*
I am currently fourteen years old and starting high school. I have taken two years of ballet, two years of hip hop, and one year when I was much younger of tap dance in previous years. I go to a professional dance studio(best in my town) and this year I am taking ballet class at my age level, and my teacher recommended me for starting pointe. Also this year I will start jazz and tap. I have been in 5 dance performances total in my life. I want to become a rockette if possible but I know how competitive and hard it is to get in. I don't have a "ballet" body (my boobs are too big and my torso is too long) but otherwise I'm very fit and slender, and I meet the height requirement for rockettes. I'm proficient in ballet and other dance as well. Is there any chance for me at all if I work very hard the next four/five years, join the competition team at my studio, and do anything I can to join that I can become a rockette? I am willing to work so hard and devote my spare time to dance. I have a passion for dance and I can't imagine a future that doesn't include it.
So, if you would, please answer my original question. If you have any tips for other things I can do to become a rockette please tell me them. Also if there are other careers similar to being a rockette (or maybe a similar dance group that is less competitive?)
Thank you very much!

How to wrap my knee for drill team?

Hello! So I am a dancer and I have a dance/drill team intensive starting tomorrow and goes on for 4 days. I recently hurt my knee and have been icing it and using traumeel but I was wondering what is a good way to wrap it for while I'm dancing? I wasn't sure if I should use my brace or an ace bandage. The kind of things we will we doing is high kick, jazz, pom, etc. so lots of high energy. Thank you!

Every year at my school for spirit week we have a massive lip sync competition. We can only use one song and we have to tell some sort of story with it. It has to be school appropriate and if the story could be related to school that'd be great. Some stories that people have done in the past were homecoming, getting ready for college, standardized tests, learning to drive etc. we need a fun and upbeat song that's easy to dance to and school appropriate! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
