So if one company does not have or is deficient in certain population samples another has and vice versa, the result will not be the same. The best company to use is the one that has the population samples that best match your ancestry and there is no way we or even you can know that. The best company can be different for different people.<p>They use the Autosomal DNA along with the X and it is more complicated than Y & Mitochondria which is respected as being very exact. The reason they don't use Y & Mitochondrial if you are a male you got each from only one person in each generation you go back. Get back to your 32 great great great grandparents and 30 of them will be excluded from the results. If you are a female you normally got Mitochondrial only from one person in each generation you go back. That means 31 of them will be excluded from your 32 great great great grandparents.</p><p>You got Autosomal 50-50 from each parent but when your parents passed on the Autosomal they received from their parents to you it went through "meiosis" where it was randomly jumbled and recombined. So while you got 50% from your mother's side and 50% from your father's, there usually will be a bias in what you inherited from grandmother and grandfather on both sides of the family. How you inherited any bias will not be how your siblings inherited it unless you have an identical twin. Therefore if you and a full sibling were tested by the same company at the same time the results will not be exact. Example: You might have received more Scandinavian Autosomal from a Norwegian grandfather and your brother or sister might have received more Iberian Autosomal from a Spanish grandmother.</p><p>The real value of genealogy DNA testing is if you are into traditional genealogy work using documents/records and if the company you choose has cousins of yours going back several generations in their database and they are allowed to notify you of those cousins and you make contact with them and they are also into traditional genealogy work, you can collaborate information with them. They might have discovered things you haven't and you might have discovered things they haven't. A lot of "ifs" involved but people have been successful in using genealogy testing that way.</p><p>For males the X is a little different. If you are a male you got X from your mother but she got X from her mother and her father. Whose X did you get? Your maternal grandmother's or your maternal grandfather's? She can draw but not as much anymore however she still buys these $6 markers and nwver uses them. She wants more markers for her bday. Well to me it seems like a waste of money. 12 markers for $50.. She also has drawing pens she bought were pricey and never uses them.<br/>Bought her a $1000 camera because she wants to be a photographer however its collecting dust. Shell use it many 3 times out of the year<br/>She buys DVD movies and never watches them. Why buy dvds? Because ill watxh them later and for the kids. No you never watch them we have netflix and hulu and popcorn time and on demand. Waste of money for dvds. She nevwr watches them...<p>I could go on and on.... She says i buy her the worse presents. There is the wisdom and philosophy of the world and then there is the wisdom and philosophy that comes from our Creator.<p>Wisdom is "the ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting." Knowledge, on the other hand, is "information gained through experience, reasoning, or acquaintance." Knowledge can exist without wisdom, but not the other way around. One can be knowledgeable without being wise. Knowledge is knowing how to use a gun; wisdom is knowing when to use it and when to keep it holstered.</p><p>Because I am a Christian, I take the view that worldly wisdom is foolishness in God's eyes. Wisdom is a gift from God. James 1:5 states, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." God blesses us with wisdom in order for us to glorify Him and use the knowledge we have of Him.</p><p>The book of Proverbs is perhaps the best place in the Bible to learn of biblical wisdom. Proverbs 1:7 speaks of both biblical knowledge and wisdom: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, / but fools despise wisdom and instruction." To fear the Lord is to start on the path to knowledge, and God can then begin to provide us with wisdom through Christ, who the Bible says is wisdom itself: "It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption" (1 Corinthians 1:30).</p><p>The world looks up to science and philosophers, and looks down upon Christianity and the Bible. As a Christian, I seek to pursue the wisdom that comes from above. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths." Verse 5 is a complementary pair of commands. We are told, positively, to trust the Lord and, negatively, not to trust our own understanding. Those two things are mutually exclusive. In other words, if we trust in the Lord, we cannot also depend upon our own ability to understand everything God is doing.</p><p>First Corinthians 13:12 says, "For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known." We only see part of the picture God is painting. If we are to truly trust Him, we have to let go of our pride, our programs, and our plans. Even the best-laid human plans cannot begin to approach the magnificent sagacity of God's plan. "For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom" (1 Corinthians 1:25).</p><p>Knowledge memorizes the Ten Commandments; wisdom obeys them. Knowledge learns of God; wisdom loves Him. I only had about 2 days to learn the system and show and I ll be on my own tomorrow. I feel confident I can mix well, but the director seems to be really uptight about me being there. He doesn t seem to think ill do a good job and he s really sort of stressing me out about it. At this point I just can t wait for the week to be over and done with.<p>The sound designer said ill do a great job and thinks I m mixing just fine, but the director has yet to give me one compliment.</p><p>I guess I m just looking for tips on how to keep your head during stressful sound gigs in pro theater ...
