Posted: 30 Oct 2015 07:37 AM PDT The link is an opinion piece. Any reliable links to the statement "approve OxyContin in children"??? How about the FDA (who approve drugs) monograph on OxyContin: "Pediatric Use Safety and effectiveness of OxyContin in pediatric patients below the age of 18 years have not been established."
Question: What do people mean change the world and how can you change the world? Posted: 30 Oct 2015 03:17 AM PDT If you could figure out a way for everyone in the world to have access to free electricity without the need for expensive wiring and a problematic grid system, you would change the world. The thing is, it was done once by Nikola Tesla and the money grubbers froze him out of the business world and called him a nut.
Question: Must One always seek meaning to live well? Posted: 30 Oct 2015 12:11 AM PDT No ... not at all. Throughout the earlier parts of my life, I never 'sought' anything of the kind. and I have lived completely well, by simply "allowing for" life's meaning ... and not compelling myself to seek it.
Question: Doesn't logic dictate that whatever made reality couldn't be real? Posted: 29 Oct 2015 10:48 PM PDT Logic would seem to dictate that nothing could have preceded existence. Yes. So, that begs the question, "What, exactly, are the laws that GOVERN existence?". Are they "things"? Are they "existent"? Apparently they are and I suspect that is the key to existence itself. I suspect that the answer to "What is real?", lies in the existence and nature of those laws. Perhaps the question we should be asking is, "What is existence?". Because it's obviously not what it appears to be. It's not solid. Everything we touch, see, hear, smell and taste is nothing more than a configuration of waves. The deeper we look into matter, the less matter there appears to be. Even the matter we used to think was actual matter wouldn't fill a teacup. You could fit the matter contained in a city onto the head of a pin, And have room left over. If time stopped - i.e. if everything but you stopped moving - and you could maintain your form and were "out there", just floating around in "it", there wouldn't be enough matter to activate any of your senses. There wouldn't be enough matter to activate the senses of an ant. It's interesting, isn't it?
