Question: What are some visual ways I can show the progression of time? Posted: 25 Oct 2015 10:42 AM PDT I am a graphic design major and my senior project is about time. I'm looking for ways to visually show the progression of time outside of clocks. Some examples I have are timelines, hourglasses, time stamps, etc. Any ideas anyone has are appreciated!

Question: Why is painting the most popular artistic medium? Posted: 25 Oct 2015 09:04 AM PDT Base media and medium, if you see a tree you like, you can grow a new one in your yard and wait a hundred years, or paint that tree for wall art. Cave paintings are similar to reference where they make pictorial imagery to explain visions, as does painting on paper, canvas or board, the expression does not need clay or steel. Cost or efficiency, to paint water colour may be cheaper method than to build or craft actual replica of ideas in visual aspects, Aesthetics, most person may only want imagery as replication of person place or things, alike photos and memorabilia; you could do the Psycho bates motel scenario, and place mother in a chair for taxidermy art, but most people prefer simple painting as portraiture, Depending on the item or subject/object, you could choose other medium or all types and statue, stuffed toy, video movie and art pieces, what ever suits the needs to express meaning in art piece, ..
Question: Beginner in Drawing..help? Posted: 25 Oct 2015 08:45 AM PDT I've been trying to find a good drawing book but none of them have been good for a basic beginner. So I've been thinking about starting off with cartoon drawings and then make my way up to drawing people idk if that's a good idea...
