Question: Should I take guitar lessons, along with playing trombone at school?Read details below.? Posted: 25 Oct 2015 05:06 PM PDT Okay so I play trombone, and I have played it sense 6th grade, and now I'm in 7th grade.Me and my friends want to start a band. Our idea would be for me to take guitar lessons and for my friend to take voice lessons (He's good at singing, but he would be even better if he took lessons) and our other friend already can play the drums. But I was wondering if learning to play the guitar would inflict on my ability to play the trombone. I might be able to quit the trombone (my parents don't care just as long as I play something)But I want to be able to stay in both just in case my band doesn't work out. So do you think it would be a problem for me to play both instruments?
Question: Broken violin strings? Posted: 25 Oct 2015 03:58 PM PDT What do you want us to do? Either you have replacement strings, or you don't. If you do, I'm sure you can go onto YouTube, or somewhere on the Internet, and find instructions on how to replace your broken strings. If you don't have any replacement strings, and the music shops are closed so you can't buy new ones, then call around to the other violin players you know and see if any of them have any spare strings they can give you. If they do, great! If not, and you can't buy any, then you will not be able to play in tonight's concert. Period.

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 03:12 PM PDT My dream is to be proclaimed Queen of Poland. You and I stand about equal chances of getting to our goals - and I already speak Polish and am and 100 percent that heritage. So I guess I might be AHEAD of you in this. I also am a career professional musician. Ton of education - TON - and many, many years - DECADES - of practice and hard work and experience, which has made a very, very rewarding life for me. You? What do YOU bring to the picnic? Just "I wanna"???? Might not be enough - just sayin'. . .
