| Question: Artist of this picture? Posted: 29 Oct 2015 10:59 AM PDT So I'm doing a visual analysis and I need to cite where I got it from and the author, I cannot ask the person who posted this because I don't go to Penn State, so I was wondering if anyone had seen this picture before and knows where I can find the name of the author from. https://sites.psu.edu/dap5420engl15a/2014/02/14/visual-analysis/ |
| Question: For my sketch gift, is it better to initial or sign it? Posted: 29 Oct 2015 10:54 AM PDT There is a girl I really, really like. We are in what I guess one could call the "pre couple" stage. She likes me, I like her, we are curious about each other. Apparently we crushed on one another back then, but either of us was in a relationship at any given time. Now we are both free. She lives in a nearby state, and we want to meet up in the near future sometime (we went to high school together). During one of our conversations she mentioned her favorite scents: lily of the valley and lavender. I immediately went to work on sketching. I spent all day working on a lily of the valley and all of yesterday working on getting a lavender sketch to look right. I did not want to obsess over details or go crazy, I was just inspired to draw and like what I made, even if it isn't picture perfect. My question comes from the final detail I add as part of the process. Signing my work. Should I use my initials? Or my signature? I asked a couple friends and they both like my initials and signature. They seem to lean towards initials but it isn't exactly very clear which is best. My concern is if I spent so much time on the sketches, then just put my initials in a corner, if that seems "lacking." On the other hand, my signature might be trying too hard. As you can tell several paragraphs before, one of the things I am working on is not overthinking things. I am happy with the sketches. Will scan them into my laptop soon and send them to her this weekend. |
