| Posted: 22 Sep 2015 03:31 PM PDT Well, if you check the census records for her, if she was native American, it will clearly list her as such. Native americans couldn't vote, or have freedom of religion, until 1978, so the government kept very close track of who Indians were. A photo proves nothing. (btw..."First nations" only refers to tribes in Canada, not the USA) And most certainly having long hair cannot be construed as proof of being native. (what? No one else in the world is capable of growing long hair??) Pinky might have native ancestry, or she could be mulatto (which was very common at the time, and " indian blood" was often used as the cover story to explain their appearance) The only way you can know is to research and find her real name, and locate her on the census records and she how she is listed there. That will give you the answer. |
