| Question: Troubles with my name? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 05:37 PM PDT Actually, the song is about a prostitute...and even if "Roxanne" was the name of a NUN in that song, I agree it STILL gets awfully old when you hear the same "joke" over and over. They're basically stupid people anyway. Roxanne was also the name of the young woman with whom Cyrano de Bergerac was in love with (there was an update of the story with Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah. Don't change your name to "Roxy". Then it will sound like a stripper. Roxanne is a beautiful name and it means "dawn", not a lady-of-the-night. So, when they start their joke, you can interrupt with a sarcasm: "Oh, how clever of you--I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard that joke...I could end the National Debt". "Oh, THANK YOU so much! It's SO flattering of you to compare me to a WHORE." "Ha, ha. Just to think my parents thought they were giving me a beautiful name that means "dawn"--I guess the joke's on them!" "Thanks for the reminder...I have to go right now and walk the street." "Gosh, I should have put that red dress on!" No, don't even bother. Like I said, they're idiots who think they're being clever. They are probably the same kind of dolts who often say other insensitive things in the name of "humor". Usually they aren't really mean, but as I said, insensitive. Their "mouth filter" in their tiny brains are broken. Just pretend you didn't even understand the joke. Just stare at them blankly. There is no way better than to deflate the "joke" than by forcing the person to explain it. |

| Question: How do I clean my guitar? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 04:07 PM PDT Hey! I bought a Fender cd 100nat ( Accoustic- Electric) for a few months. I want to start cleaning and caring for it. I know nothing about what type of product to use for cleaning and moisturizing my guitar (espically the fretboard). Here is some info about my guitar: *Laminated Spruce Top, Laminated Mahogany back and sides |
