| Question: Audition Songs For Genie? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 08:24 PM PDT The musical coming up in my school could be Aladdin JR. If so, I am going to audition for the part of Genie. :-) Only dilemma... I have nothing to sing! I am an alto with a range up to soprano (hard to explain, I suppose.) Any songs that would be good for me to sing to get the part of Genie? What should I wear that day to audition? Thank you, all the love! xx Karli (SIDE NOTE: IF GENIE DOESN'T WORK OUT, I WOULD GLADLY TAKE JASMINE OR IAGO SONGS.) |

| Posted: 02 Sep 2015 06:11 PM PDT Key parts of a monologue is to pretend that you are the only one on stage talking. When I write monologue I use the way I speak in my mind to write it. An example "Oh boy! I really hate Jeff. I hate the way he talks, I hate that squeaking noise when he laughs. I hate, I hate...I just hate Jeff!!!!" (But you problem just want to make it a little longer). The person speaking is not talking to anyone but him/herself. |
