They're no more stupid than people who study engineering, web design or esthetics. They're just people. If they apply themselves well, enjoy what they do, and share what they love in unique ways, no one is to say that it's pointless or stupid. So, don't take it personally! =)<p>That being said, it's good to have a plan B. It's even better if you have a plan C or D after that.</p><p>I, myself, am a music major. I want to teach piano classes. However, where I live, that profession is somewhat difficult to even start (though not impossible), so along the way I applied my other skills and became a certified yoga teacher and am also graduating from beauty school next summer. Sounds complex? It IS, but it's worth it. I enjoy everything I do and I'm all about customer service. So, even though I'm not solely focusing on teaching piano, I'm still living to the fullest and enjoying my life.</p><p>Have a plan B in mind. Get a skill or two and apply yourself there, just in case your art major doesn't land you steady or reliable income. Don't give up on your passions, but understand that the world isn't in high demand of positions that appeal to them.</p></div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif"
