It depends on what you mean by "Consciousness".

We certainly do think about ourselves and what we are doing and how we do it.

Where consciousness is an illusion is when some claim to be able to change belief or other just by willing it.

NB:
I am curious, why did you list "physics,philosophy are neurology"? And miss the most important study of Consciousness, that is psychology?

Question: What are the moral obligations of the strong towards the weak?

Life has always favored the strong, those who bravely face the struggles of life and accept the challenge of the same without fear of death.

Such persons should, in the natural order, rule however, even the herdsman has obligation to the sheep as well as to all of the herd.

What obligations and moral considerations should the strong give to the weak?

Question: Why are determinists so convinced they're correct that there is no free will?
