| Question: How to make Acting Demo reel? Posted: 19 Nov 2016 11:24 AM PST What you're doing wrong is not getting anything in the right order. A resume with no training or experience is not a resume at all. First, you need a few years at a really good acting school. Only after that should you spend any money on headshots, as they need to be really recent ones. The ones you have now will be useless in a couple of years when you need them. It takes time to get enough training and experience to get into professional acting. I understand that acting is all you want to do, but you're still going to need another job just to afford a shared room in a tiny flat in a rough area. Almost all actors have to work an ordinary job alongside acting just to survive. It's quite rare for any actor to get more than ten days' paid acting work a year. Spend time getting that sorted out, getting training and experience, and then maybe you'll stand a chance. |
