Question: A lichen-covered sonnet from the late Pleistocene, possibly?

A girl I know treats man like dog or cat
and makes his ev'ry utterance or act
Clear evidence that 'men are just like that,'
ignoring any inconvenient fact.
No loving mate, as both were when still young
She blames the past on him, though he's a victim.
Emasculating words on flaying tongue,
She can't remember now just why she picked 'im.

Perhaps a lion then to her he seemed,
A kingly killer, strong and brave and free.
See now hyena being badly reamed;
His butterfly now stings him like a bee.

Oh, charming prince, cast toad-cloak not aside!
But wear the thing, and never take a bride!

Question: I'm thinking of using this (my) poem in my standup routine. Will it get a chuckle? a bellylaugh? a titter?
