| Question: A lichen-covered sonnet from the late Pleistocene, possibly? Posted: 22 Nov 2016 04:46 PM PST A girl I know treats man like dog or cat and makes his ev'ry utterance or act Clear evidence that 'men are just like that,' ignoring any inconvenient fact. No loving mate, as both were when still young She blames the past on him, though he's a victim. Emasculating words on flaying tongue, She can't remember now just why she picked 'im. Perhaps a lion then to her he seemed, Oh, charming prince, cast toad-cloak not aside! |
