Question: Who took 50000 pictures with a bellow camera? Posted: 28 Dec 2015 06:15 AM PST My guess would be Ansel Adams.........well known for his breath taking nature photo's. ah well..........attached to a TELESCOPE, is a new added bit of information- That would lead me to believe some astronomer, who was perhaps mapping the stars, or the galaxy. I also found this........that mentions 50,000 pictures.........but I would doubt a telescope was involved. Southern California adventurer, Allan Karl traversed the globe alone in three years on the back of a motorcycle. He traveled 62,000 miles, pumped over 1100 gallons of gas, crossed over 55 borders on five continents and took 50,000 pictures. Allan Karl chronicled his epic journey - and the many tasty meals he ate along the way - in his new book, "Forks: A Quest for Culture, Cuisine and Connection".
Question: At what time in history was the US military the same strength as now? Posted: 28 Dec 2015 05:51 AM PST In terms of power: never before. While the overall numbers are lower, the quality of our resources: men, planes, ships, and equipment, has never been as strong. Our men (and women) are all volunteers, are motivated, highly trained, and supported with excellent gear and information systems to quickly dominate the battleground. Remember that for most of our history, the US was hesitant to keep much of a military, instead choosing to quickly ramp up when needed (such as for the Civil War and the two World Wars), and then quickly reducing after the fight was over.

Question: How was the Amritsar massacre not significant in Indian nationalism? Posted: 28 Dec 2015 05:08 AM PST In no way was it ""not significant." But it was just one in a long line of greater or lesser atrocities perpetrated on the Indian people by the British Raj. And it wasn't the last.
