Question: Can someone find some Poetic devices used in this Poem? Posted: 10 Dec 2015 09:23 AM PST The sound of blasts are heard all over, The child with his innocent eyes, sees... The wide range of people massacred, He wonders, where is the peace... The child overlooks the broken city, A baby laughs, when the angels sing, Why is there war, when there can be peace,
Posted: 10 Dec 2015 07:47 AM PST My allergy to avian flesh compels the choice of legs and thighs, with sev'ral sides. My friend between the corn and beans decides, and then degree of hunger fin'lly tells. "A Fam'ly meal, feed three, both light and dark." So corn and beans and bird is what we get. I wish that I could shake the Colonel's hand. It should be obvious that I've conflated KFC with Pollo Loco---what can I say? I buy from both, depending on my mood. KFC doesn't have the salsa&stuff, so no 'little tubs,' Pollo Loco's mashed potatoes are hideously overpriced---but the beans there are excellent, and they have rice that works well enough with the beans. But both franchises offer the choice between breast meat and 'legs and thighs.' That really does matter to me, cause white meat makes my tummy hurt.

Question: What is the meaning of the poem ape by babette deutsch? Posted: 10 Dec 2015 04:01 AM PST It seems pretty clear to me. What part of it don't you understand? The only thing in it that might require some explanation is the last line, which makes an allusion to a very famous speech made be the ancient Roman politician Cicero. He began the speech with a rhetorical question aimed at his enemy, Catiline, asking "How long will you abuse our patience?" Deutsch uses the two main words of that sentence, "abuse" and "patience", in that line, so she's making some kind of comparison between the ape and the great human orator. This information might add a dimension to your understanding of the poem.
Question: Te compadeces de los seres obsesivos?
