| Question: Can a Circus be in a Carnival? Posted: 17 Nov 2014 04:01 PM PST My understand is that a circus is usually set inside a round tent with prefiere and audience all in one place, While a carnival is a lot bigger, outside, spectators choose their games, entertainment, or boothes. |
| Question: Modern Examples of Misunderstood Satire? Posted: 17 Nov 2014 01:13 PM PST Modern Examples of Misunderstood Satire? I'm planning a new youtube show called "Satire for Idiots" where I explore misunderstood works of satire to point out the intended meaning and contrast that to the popular response. This was heavily inspired by my English class where they taught the class about "A Modest Proposal" I always thought it was a bad example because High School kids these days don't understand the context of something like A Modest Proposal and so I want to do this show about more modern examples (Such as South Parks "Ginger Kids" episode or Natural Born Killers.) Does anyone have any examples that I could use for the show. |
