Question: Would it be weird if a asian played danny zuko in grease?

I don't think that would be weird. The main requirement is that you're able to portray a "cool" American high school boy. Fortunately, nowadays, "American" is a pretty broad category. Ethnicity doesn't really play a part in this particular show, except in the movie where they had to add a little backstory to explain away Olivia Newton John's Australian accent.
