Question: How do be delusional like this kid? Posted: 10 Nov 2014 09:07 AM PST I am with Connie. There's no such thing as evil. What we *do* have, are acts that from *some* points of view can be seen as Exceptionally Crappy. Like most - but not all - murders. Murder can be a million different things, and some murders are actually counted among the noble and just things in the world, even if the Law does not agree. A mother whose child has been repeatedly raped will see the murder of the rapist as the One Just Thing to do. The only thing that gives the Christians hope is the torture and murder of the man known as Jesus. A certain dictator who ordered the murder of millions of people not too long ago, killed himself before he could be brought to justice. Many more millions than those whose death he caused would happily have killed him a hundred times each. I could go on. Seeing world as just black and white is a very dangerous way to look at it.
Question: Please Help With These Philosophy Proof Problems?!? Posted: 10 Nov 2014 09:07 AM PST Using Rules of Inference and Rules of Replacement, we were given some translation problems that we're supposed to write out some proofs for. I've been working on other problems similar to these, but these four are giving me some trouble. I've tried working backwards, but its just not very clear to me right now. If anyone can help me out, it would be great! Thanks! Problem 1: Problem 2. Prove: ~P Problem 3. Problem 4:
Posted: 10 Nov 2014 09:00 AM PST Because the very fact that you are dependent on them highlights your inadequacies. Most people don't like being made aware of their flaws.
Question: Who will know you than yourself ? Posted: 10 Nov 2014 08:58 AM PST Personality is an iceberg and 9/10ths of it is below your awareness. Others as a whole know you 10x better than you know yourself. But you have to filter through their prejudices.
Question: What is NOT important in life? Posted: 10 Nov 2014 06:53 AM PST I think Success is not important in Life, because it stops our process of learning and moreover, the heady feeling does not last long enough !!
