Since you have some definite ideas of who goes where when, there really isn't any reason you can't make up your own dance to the music. Depending on the production you're talking about, there may have been different dances anyway depending on the choreographer at the time. Here are some examples I found on Youtube, starting with the movie version with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum. Plus various stage productions (and I am presuming you mean the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and not some other adaptaption (including other musicals based on the original French novel). It would be cool if you had a staircase to go down. This could be about the multiplicity of time frames, with the possibility for different minds to be present in different or parallel time frames; or of there being more than one instances of consciousness; or there being just one original mind, while the rest being figments.<p>This we learn from the scriptural accounts that there being life hereafter, there is a possibility that when someone dies the consciousness of that person thus have been freed from the constrictions of the time frame, could be at the deathbed, at the end of the world, at the day of judgement, all at once.</p><p>This might not be the simplistic case of there being a parallel universe, hence a parallel, or countless parallel time frames for each for each of the countless universes. This might instead be about the possibility that the consciousness could expand in capacity, to become better aware of the temporal phenomenon, as if to be present in the future, in the past as well in the present. I must admit the idea of everyone being conscious at the same time is quite interesting thought.</p><p>The simultaneous existence of different minds as different manifestation of the same universal consciousness is in theory possible – as is everything else in philosophy. Just as waves rise upon to the surface of an ocean to traverse across its expanse, there are the minds born upon the ocean of consciousness to travel through time. Just as waves are upon the surface of the ocean that run abreast, collide, clash, and mingle, the minds are along the dimension of time, where they could observe and interact with each other.</p><p>Just as two people can see each other and interact with each other, one aspect of the mind that is strong could observe the one that is relatively weak, or set to oppose the first. Once conquered, China was peaceful for centuries. All they did was suck in money in exchange for established technology like porcelain and silks. All that money just got heaped up in piles of elaborate decorations. Just as it did under the Moguls (mongols) in India.</p><p>In contrast, the west scrapped against each other constantly. The need for money to supply such fighting meant that they couldn't afford to just squat in decadence. So they put their money to work. They spent it on inventing new technology. Like castles and then ways to knock castles down. They spent it on trading missions and new ships. They went places. They met people. They killed them and took their stuff. Then they sold that stuff and used it to fight some more.</p><p>Peace breeds complacency. Rich people look only to their own comfort.</p><p>Eastern Europe? A peaceful place once the mongols and their Russian lackeys took over. He is now a tax lawyer for a big multinational company.<br/>There is no reason why you couldn't do an MBA with a Philosophy degree. But there are many more options than just that. You don't need to go to graduate school unless you want to.<p>Businesses should see the value in critical thinking skills that go along with formal philosophy. But there's the rub, what businesses ought to do and what they do do are not always one in the same. The business world is in great need of more ethics (a branch of philosophy). We need more people with compassion and reasoning skills in the business world but the business world doesn't necessarily want that. Though some may.</p><p>There are many people who will say a philosophy degree is useless, especially in business, but don't listen to them. Follow your own vision and then get out there in the real world and do stuff. Be the change you want to see in the world (that is if you see any need for change in the way we do business). Basically with a philosophy degree you can do anything you want to do. Freud labeled the Ego the balancing point in each individual between what they desire on a primitive base instinctive level, and how to compromise and co-exist with other people. The Ego is the balancing point between the two scales of; desire (the "id"), and morals (the "Superego", usually taught by parents and learnt by the individual during childhood)<p>What I'm steadily trying to get at is, the Ego, according to Freud who was the progenitor of the concept of the ego, is the most vital part of our persona. It communicates between what we desire, for e.g, sex, love, revenge, recognition etc, and what we hold as ideal moral standards to live up to, for e.g, being a kind person, being a successful person, being a financially secure person. The ego says, "How can I get what I desire whilst remaining true to my morals and what society expects of me?"</p><p>Basically, what I'm trying to say is, if you didn't have an ego, you would either be a psychopath (someone who lives totally by their "id", their primitive desires etc due to it being completely unchecked by their "Ego") or you would be completely neurotic (someone who has an unhealthy extreme amount of guilt and self punishment for perceived immoral self acts etc due to their "Superego" being unchecked by their "Ego")</p><p>To me, being mindful is seeking truth. All the new age stuff about constantly "being in the moment" is total and utter bs. If we just lived in the moment all the time, we would be like animals, and we would do things like s h it in the middle of the street in front of everyone because we felt like it, and we would not get anything practical and necessary for survival done.</p><p>So, don't worry about it. Tutelage is man's inability to make use of his understanding without direction from another. Self-incurred is this tutelage when its cause lies not in lack of reason but in lack of resolution and courage to use it without direction from another. Sapere aude!
