got the Aleksandra Russian Pointe Entrada model, size 37.5, width 4, vamp 2 and shank HF. I've already sewn the ribbons and elastics on the way I usually do. Last time, I got the Encore Russian Pointe in a 38/38.5 I think and they felt a bit big, so this time I went through the whole fitting process and got a slightly wider box and a slightly smaller size, with a harder and longer shank. At first, if I went up to demi, the heel would come off (after they were sewn and ribbons were tied, elastics in an x-shape, not just one straight across). I've broken the shank in a bit and it's getting better, however. I have a Greek, narrow-shape foot, and after I added a bit of lamb''s wool under my big toe to even it out, put on Gellow toe pads, put on the shoes, and went up to full pointe, it hurts a hell of a lot more than usual. My toes don't lie quite flat if I'm standing flat (but they don't when I'm barefoot either), and I can feel the tips of my toes pressing against the tip of my box. I'm not sure if I'm just not used to this model, if they're just still new, or if they're too small. I really can't return them because I can't afford a second pair, it's hard enough to pay for them every few months.
