My flute might be broken?

So i have this really worn out flute i use for school. Its 14 years old, the keys these replacing, etc etc. Anyways, I accidentally dropped it yesterday, And now, I cannot play a D, or E flat on it anymore. I also noticed that the head piece has a little dent in it at the end, so it doesn't form a perfect circle anymore. Anyone know what might be wrong with my flute and how to fix it?

Why can't he learn both?

Better yet, you should buy a bass and learn to play that as well.

Your band isn't going to be playing anytime soon, it isn't as if he is going to learn guitar this week.

I want to become great at public speaking?

I'm 21 and a bit introverted, normally I get quite nervous for speeches. Except I used to study music performing and sang with people everyday, once a week on a stage and have done 6 big shows in my life. It took a lot of practice but I got extremely good at performing, given my natural singing talent. Just not when Im delivering a speech, I become two completely different people between these two things. How can I practice puplic speech? I cant for the life of me find any organization that could help.

You know, a "masquerade" is a costume party--more or less--or chiefly a ball where people would wear either simple or elaborate face masks. Since you have some definite ideas of who goes where when, there really isn't any reason you can't make up your own dance to the music. Depending on the production you're talking about, there may have been different dances anyway depending on the choreographer at the time. Here are some examples I found on Youtube, starting with the movie version with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum. Plus various stage productions (and I am presuming you mean the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and not some other adaptaption (including other musicals based on the original French novel). It would be cool if you had a staircase to go down. There are some similarities (such as striking various poses and such), but there are also differences, so don't feel that improvise according to where you actually will be dancing, total number of people involved, and each individual's actual dancing ability (if you have someone who actually took ballet, that would be great!)

Even if you don't intend to dress in full costume, masks ARE important. You can buy or even make eye masks and other types of masks. For ideas, do a Google image search under "masquerade'. You can also do a regular web search under "masquerade supplies" if you want to order your masks or costumes. For mask blanks, sequins, feathers, craft paints, etc. you can go to any large craft store such as Michael's or Jo-Ann's (or order online). Look up "half masks" for the kind that just covers the eyes.

Marching Bass Drum?

Hello, I'm a freshman in high school. I can play the flute, the piccolo, and the tuba. However, I am interested in doing indoor percussion during the marching band off-season. I really want to march bass drum, but I know nothing about it. I've never touched a percussion instrument before, let alone marched with one.
How long do you think it will take me to learn to play? I intend on getting a private teacher, but I still have to find somewhere I can rent a marching bass drum, which will not be easy.
So, are there any experienced bass drum players who can give me a time frame? Do any of you guys think I'll be able to learn it in time for the indoor percussion season (around November)?
I can usually pick up instruments pretty quick, but percussion is foreign to me.
