Question: What is hard-core respect for living life? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 06:13 AM PDT Respect is to show polite regard and consideration to values and virtues and merits. "We were taught to respect everyone, especially those who were older and wiser than we were from whom we could learn."
Question: People can not stop themselves from trying to make judgements on others? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 06:09 AM PDT I haven't really given it much thought, but it would seem to be part of the way we're wired. We have, as a survival instinct, a tendency to instantly assess individuals we meet or encounter. We do this all the time, both consciously and subliminally. "Is this person a threat?" being the most important part of this, but then it would include... things like status, sexual attractiveness, member of ethnic or other group... Etc, etc. So "making judgments" may simply be an extension of this natural (and likely reflexive) tendency. By "judging" people, we can make ourselves feel superior in some way.
Question: Self respect is just personal? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 05:34 AM PDT If others don't respect you its because they don't care or understand you Its not your fault, though others seem to tell you it is Example: if you are having so many problems with others behavior, "the problem is most likely, you" To me that is just more hurtful blame placing. Thoughts?
