| Posted: 28 Aug 2015 04:24 AM PDT So me and my friend are both artists, and we both know that we are far from the best. But my friend literally won't take compliments for her art, without saying "no its not, it's terrible." It kindof makes me sad to here her hate her art so much. Not only do I feel bad for her, but when she does it she often compares her art to mine and keeps telling me I'm better. I mean I appreciate she likes my art, but I get uncomfortable when she tells me I'm better than her, and her art is terrible. I now know why my other friend doesn't like her to compliment her art, she says it makes her uncomfortable too (even though her water.color paintings and sketches are gorgeous) Not sure if it's her posting art online that's making her feel this way, because she doesn't get much attention unfourtunatly (but it's deviantart, what do you expect?) I just don't know how to deal with this. Anyone know how I should handle it when she does that other than saying "no, your art is beautiful"? |
