| Question: When did art start becoming the awful stuff we have now? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:20 PM PDT As an art historian, I cannot agree that contemporary art is all "silly". Quite a lot of it is genuinely good. You simply aren't very familiar with it. Anyone who thinks Pollock is "silliness" doesn't grasp art at all. Both Pollock and Rembrandt were excellent painters. They simply painted in quite different eras and genres, and I say that as a specialist in the 16th and 17th centuries. As for the camera, it actually had a positive effect on painting. Look at Degas, for example. He was much influenced by photography. You have a lot to learn, dear. |

| Question: Need ideas for a character's appearance? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:16 PM PDT (This is a character for a roleplay story. Not a book) Like hair style, clothing, etc... Character info: Age: 18 She's quiet, not in a shy way. More cold and distant. Also wealthy, spoiled by her parents, was raised to be quiet and well-behaved. Strengths: Mature, smart, determined, creative/artistic Weaknesses: Anti-social, judgmental, a little rude, uptight, intimidating at times, sometimes seen as boring, comes off as emotion-less (which goes with the intimidating part) |
