I know you have to audition but is there a way my friends and I can be together like in a group or ... (we all audition together)

or do we have to audition seperatly?

Question: Didn t get lead role in my senior year musical?

In all levels of acting, from junior school right up to the major A-List superstars, this happens all the time.
It doesn't make any difference how much you want a role, how well you think you auditioned, or whether it's your dream role. Those things are just not relevant to anyone but you.
That's always hard, no matter how many years you've been in the business and there's nothing I can say to make you feel better.

But it's honestly not something to cry about or get this upset about. If every actor decided they were 'done with musicals forever' or plays or whatever, every time they failed to get a role they desperately wanted, there would be no-one on Broadway or the West End or on TV or in movies at all.

Think of the best MT performer you've ever heard of. I would bet you anything that he/she was rejected dozens or even hundreds of times - and they just trained harder, got more experience, and kept trying.
And they never quit a show just because they ended up in the ensemble or in a minor role. Never.
And you have to get this in perspective, try to behave and think like them - even though you're still a teen.

I do understand that it's hard - but it doesn't mean that you're not good enough. It means the director thought someone else was better for that one role. That's all.

So don't quit, don't cry and don't give up.
But it's really important that you attend a really good independent acting school and ideally perform with a youth/community theatre if you're planning on MT as a career. School stuff really doesn't count for much.

Be strong - and be positive!
Good luck!

Question: Taking up Acting soon, but I can't seem to fake cry, ive tried thinking of sad thing but it wont work, any suggestions?
