Posted: 26 Aug 2015 06:50 AM PDT 1) That is why God created lot of role-models and trend setters in our society. 2) "Lives of great men, all remind us that we too can make our lives of the highest order and noblest nature, awakening the feelings of awe and veneration." 3) "Let great people help us to shape our future life. Let us emulate the great people by their good ideas, feelings, and actions as nearly as possible." 4) If we do not possess crystal clear mind and pristine pure heart, we should not follow our own whims and fancies. Our own sweet-will and choice will not work efficiently and effectively.
Posted: 26 Aug 2015 05:11 AM PDT It's a give and take. Scientists explain the how, we discuss the why. There is an entire field of rigorous academic study that deals specifically with what science is, how it works, and the logic through which we build scientific knowledge. This branch of philosophy is handily called the philosophy of science. Many of the ideas that we present in this website are a rough synthesis of some new and some old ideas from the philosophy of science. What is a law of nature? Are there any in non-physical sciences like biology and psychology? Though they might seem elementary, these questions are actually quite difficult to answer satisfactorily. Opinions on such issues vary widely within the field (and occasionally part ways with the views of scientists themselves — who mainly spend their time doing science, not analyzing it abstractly). Despite this diversity of opinion, philosophers of science can largely agree on one thing: there is no single, simple way to define science!

Posted: 26 Aug 2015 03:47 AM PDT EVERYONE is driven by their personal philosophy (or lack thereof in some cases) whether they realize it or not. Whether their thinking is that intentional or organized or not. We cannot help but to put our own spin on things, but with learning, practice, and wisdom we can begin to at least realize that we do and be vigilant of our own prejudices. Critical thinking is not natural, and we must work very hard to master it's intricacies. Every thought we have, every decision we make is influenced by our own personal philosophy, whether it is disciplined or not, formal or not, and whether we are conscious of it or not.
