Question: What became a concern for william carey and his new converts in India.? Posted: 29 Aug 2015 12:41 PM PDT My understanding is that in addition to the problems that any minority religion faces in any country, there were conflicts with Hindus over isues involving the caste system and practices such as sati (suttee), neither of which Carey recognized as being compatible with Christianity. I'm not sure how the specific passage you cite from Romans would be especially helpful, but the main purpose of Paul's Letter to the Romans was to sort out issues that had arisen between Jewish Christians and Gentile Christians in the church in Rome -- differences in customs and traditions and religious teachings similar to issues that arose in India.
Question: Can anyone help me with the summary of Bernard Shaw's poem imagination? Posted: 29 Aug 2015 11:05 AM PDT George Bernard Shaw did not write a poem called "imagination." The poem that is circulating on the internet is falsely attributed to him. Shaw himself was a highly talented writer of plays and nonfiction. If he had written a poem it would not have been a banal piece of childish doggerel like the stupid thing that's been posted to ten thousand Instagram accounts with his name falsely attached to it.
Question: I have to write slam poetry for school and i have no ideas for it. HELP ME PLEASE!!!? Posted: 29 Aug 2015 10:20 AM PDT Well im not a slam poet, but Google is... After a little bit of a google search of 'slam poetry examples', it seems to me, the majority of slam poetry is essentially picking 1 simple topic, literally about anything (I just read one completely based on someone seeing a snake...), and then being all smart about it, by using less common everyday diction to describe this 1 topic in detail for about 10 - 30 seconds, which seems to essentially be a but over half a page, or a full page. So, if im correct there (and I assume that, if your entering slam poetry, youd know a whole lot more about it then I do, and most likely already knew that, you just need ideas to write about), then id say, think about your day, since the last week. Every single day leading up to the last week, every event you can recall. And see if theres any significant events (like seeing a snake :P) you can write about. And if you cant think of one, then write about how you cant think of one, how its hard to recall a entire week of events, yet alone what you did today, how peoples lives are so busy these days they cant even stop for a minute to remember what they are even in a rush to do, talk about your view on society, or money, or the power structure (governments), talk about the first time you where ever on stage, and if this is it, talk about that. Theres some ideas, hopefully some could be of use to you
