Question: Do We Have Freewill? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 09:19 AM PST In the small picture it seems we have the power to make decisions. In the big picture we see that God predestined all. Those who genuinely seek God, experience a battle between the flesh and the will of God. Still, every single thing happens as it should, and at the right time. Life is going to be hard on you if you use your free will to go after things you selfishly desire. No one can stop or stall the hand of God. His will is going to be done according to His plans because He is perfect and so are His plans and designs, and His understanding is far beyond ours (Isaiah 55:8). One finds evidence of predestination throughout the Bible: (Matthew 22:14, Jeremiah 1:5, Ephesians 1:3-5, Romans 8:28-30, 1 Corinthians 2:7, Acts 4:27-28, Psalm 139:16, Romans 9:15-18, Exodus 4:21, Romans 9:22-24, Ephesians 2:8-10, Acts 13:48). Take the book of Revelation for example. Everything is going to take place in a specific order and in precise detail, and we cannot change these future events no matter what we do. No one can change the will of God, but we must pray, as thought by Christ: "Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Why? We pray not to move the hand of God, but so our wills become united with His! The will of the Son of God was always one with the will of His Father, so everything He requested was done for Him. The prayers of a righteous man will avail much because a righteous man's will is in tuned with the will of God, so his prayers are pleasing to God because he prays according to God's will. God is the author and finisher of our faith. It is all written and done. Nothing could surprise Him because He created and planned everything in detail. He knows how it will end, and everything works to bring Him glory. He made the angels as such that one third would rebel against Him. Do you know that even the work of the devil and evil bring Him glory? It does. When a man is delivered from a demon by the power of God, does it not show how powerful and good God is? When God's loving power dispels ignorance, heals, brings the dead back to life, comforts, teaches, saves and performs mighty and wonderful miracles overpowering all forms of evil and darkness, doesn't it reveal Him as Almighty God, Most Holy God? If we purify ourselves and maintain our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, God lives in us! God loves us with an everlasting love and will always take care of His people and work for our greatest good. He made us because of His love, and it is His pleasure to give us the Kingdom (Luke 12:32). It is also His will to eventually destroy all works and embodiments of evil. Only in the will of God will you find your freedom. In doing the will of God, you will be blessed with true happiness, peace and joy. Desire to do the will of God. Humble yourself, knowing that without God, you are dust (103:14), and in the mind of humility and surrender, the power of God will rest upon you. REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH Because mankind is incapable of meeting God's standard of perfection necessary to abide in God's presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer's sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ's righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus' gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God's grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer's justified status. If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God: "Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. Amen"
Question: Do you believe in the color theory? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 08:17 AM PST No two people see colour exactly the same. The Ishihsra plate test is widely used to check for deficiencies in colour vision to determine absolutely the nature and extent of colour perception. Other more complicated tests are available where a full spectrum check can be performed. Being colourblind I won't see red or green like most people, but my night vision is much better than theirs!

Posted: 20 Nov 2015 01:29 AM PST War comes about because resources are limited, and because humans are pack animals. We divide up into "us" versus "them." Sometimes resource limits pit an us against a them in sufficiently severe fashion that organized violence results. I think that's pretty straightforward as explanations go, and not especially interesting for philosophy. Where war DOES get interesting is in the case of a civil war. These occur when some group who used to be part of "us" becomes a "them" for purposes of organized violence. How does that happen? Hmmmmm.
