| Question: Need Christmas song 4 talent show? (Preferably Broadway...?)? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 07:57 PM PST Well, for a show like this, you can simply transpose songs into whatever key best suits your range, but there is no need to show off your ENTIRE range in one song especially if you include noises that you can barely get out and aren't very musical to listen to. You might want to choose a pop Christmas song like "All I Want for Christmas is You" unless you are SO young it might be deemed inappropriate to want a boyfriend to spend Christmas with, (but as modern lyrics go, it amazingly free of any sexual innuendo and just has her saying she will wait under the mistletoe). It spans 2 octaves as written, and being a Mariah Carey song, you can always feel free to throw in any extra notes to show off your range. For Broadway, things of decent range and fun or challenging to sing are:) You also might find a few appropriate songs from "White Christmas: the Musical". Besides the title song, there is "Happy Holidays" and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm". I'm not sure if these would have enough range, but if you pick a jazzy song like "I got" then you could as always (with reasonable restraint and good taste, please), a bit of embellishment here and there. |

| Question: Is it possible to change pick ups on this guitar? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 04:56 PM PST http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/b... I want to buy this guitar, but I don't trust the BC RICH pick ups. There's a guitar just like this but with EMG pick ups, but it's more than double the price. I plan on buying this guitar, and then buy some EMG pick ups later. Probably save a few hundred bucks. Can I do it? |
