How to represent "fire" in a jar?

I have four glass globe jars with cork tops. I am trying to represent the four elements in them (yes, I know there is more than just four elements, but good luck representing to "spirit" element)
This is just for an art piece in my home.
Water, Air, and Earth are all fairly simple: I have sea water in one, a feather in another, and dirt in another.
But what about Fire. I'm at a lost. I thought maybe ash, but is that too similar to Earth? I thought about burnt matches or paper... but I'm not really digging it. Any other ideas? Thanks guys!
