| Question: Do you enjoy religious art, like the kind in art museums? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 05:03 PM PST Sure. My dad had travelled in the Holy Land, and he painted scenes from there, with Jesus in some, or places named in the Bible. As he had been there, his paintings had a sense of realism. He put some of his paintings in a show devoted to religious art. The show was really cool! In the Anglican cathedral in Victoria, BC, the stations of the cross are all depicted in paintings around the building. It is possible to walk the course, and view each, with prayers, or contemplation. Each of the artists was different, but the overall effect is amazing. The one of Jesus on the Cross, holding the entire world is very, very moving. |
