| Posted: 04 Nov 2015 09:28 AM PST NO. The goal of a photographer is to build a camera "system". This means adding additional lenses to your kit. Most advanced amateur photographers have at lest four lenses in their kit, usually a wide angle zoom like the 11-16 mm, a good lens like a 24-70 mm which can be used for most events and some sports, a macro lens and some kind of telephoto lens, either a prime lens or zoom lens |
| Posted: 04 Nov 2015 08:15 AM PST Using a app on a mobile is wholly different than using a fully adjustable camera to capture excellent images. There is little or no control when using a mobile to capture images except by using apps. The best you can do is use your understanding of composition and design to frame a compelling image For the kind of control you need to use advanced photographic techniques like star or light trails, light graffiti, stopping the action when shooting sports, especially at night or indoors and making moving water look like cotton requires you to 1) own a fully adjustable camera and 2) learn the fundamentals of photography. Here is a link to help you with your image composition. |
