Posted: 31 Mar 2015 09:11 PM PDT I played in a band for years, and we achieved some moderate fame. I don't care about riches, or money. I don't care about fame for its own sake, but I long to feel important and I feel like I need the music I made to be validated. I left the band due to creative differences and several members were jerks to me to be honest. I can't just be happy sitting at home alone playing with no one to make music with or hear me. Please don't tell me to pursue other interests. I'm a tomboy and I'm not some girly girl who likes gossip, makeup, shopping, etc. Music is missing in my life and I'll never be whole without it. When I played in the band it was practically half my life. I can't live without being in a band. It's killing me. I have become depressed and cry a lot. I want to scream or commit suicide because I am so sick of feeling this emptiness. What can I do? My life is totally empty... I don't have a dad (he deserted me), my mom yells at me and I have no one I can talk to about anything, the only living thing that ever gave me love was my dog and she's dead now, I don't have a boyfriend, and I have to walk around with all these feelings concealed when I want to explode. I have friends but feel alone in spite of all that. I need music in my life in order to be whole, and I have no pulse anymore. I don't have an appetite for life and I am terrified because I seriously can't handle this empty, dead person I have become. Is music gone from my life forever?

Question: Where to get custom guitar picks? Posted: 31 Mar 2015 08:09 PM PDT There are several companies online that do custom picks. It depends on how many and how elaborate you want to get. They can be very reasonable, or VERY expensive. Just look up "custom guitar picks" or "personalized guitar picks". You can also make your own guitar picks if you just want a few in various styles. You can order various materials for this purpose (or find materials at the nearby craft store). You can cut them out with scissors, or get a special pick punch. It depends on what you want.
Question: Is it ok I put my guitar strings in the wrongs pegs? Posted: 31 Mar 2015 06:50 PM PDT No, it's NOT OK, so do it over. Torquing a 6th string up to a D pitch is way bad, as it's way too much tension, pulls the neck up, plays like crap, etc. Meanwhile, the poor 4th string is flopping around in the 6th spot, 'buzzy as crap if tuned nearly an octave down to the correct E. I'll rest easy, assuming it's not tuned at all - don't even try. BTW, as long as I'm being nasty, it's "restrung", not "restringed".
