Question: Can dancing make your butt smaller ? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 12:19 PM PDT It could also make it bigger depending on the current muscle mass. If you're completely inactive and the muscles in your butt are atrophied from the inactivity, starting to dance would actually grow the size of you butt at first as the muscles grow before you lose fat. However, and simply put, yes dancing will eventually shrink the size of you butt as you get rid of fat. Also, if you work hard enough, you could actually shrink the size of the muscle bundles in your butt. Our bodies adjust to high levels of usage by killing off unnecessary muscle fibers and not replacing them to be more efficient. Less muscle fibers burns less calories which allows the body to survive longer by doing the same activity with less muscle structure. The only problem with high levels of activity is that you have to maintain that level for the rest of your life. You body gets use to being in starvation mode for so long that it over-reacts to inactivity and will put on fat faster than before.

Posted: 18 Mar 2015 11:59 AM PDT I am a teacher, but I despair of how young they are limbering up young children in order to be more flexible than the next at festivals etc. Young soft bones and growth plates need protecting and I wouldn't want to see any of my pupils limbered too early as is now happening.

Question: Can anyone suggest a tap class sequence? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 09:20 AM PDT I'm subbing for a tap class, and it's been a hot minute since I've taken or taught a class. Can anyone provide their warm-up sequence, across the floors, etc? Any music suggestions would also be appreciated! :)
Posted: 18 Mar 2015 01:29 AM PDT Please, serious answers only. I need to lose weight and size for an upcoming performance. I'm exactly as 5'4" and my weight fluctuates from 101-104. I'm usually just at 104 when in light clothing. I realize for an average person that's a low weight, but for a dancer it isn't. The main problem area for me is my chest as I'm 32DD. (actually 30DDD but that's impossible to find) What can I do to reduse my size? In both my chest and overall.
