| Posted: 22 Mar 2015 07:29 AM PDT The MP 40 was used by Nazi Germany and used extensively by them and their Axis buddies during World War II. It was not uncommon for Allied soldiers to pick them up to use and confuse enemy troops, as the sound was distinctive when fired. However, ammunition of the right caliber was hard to come by so they were discarded when empty, or kept as war souvenirs |
