| Posted: 25 Mar 2015 10:14 AM PDT Philosophy of AYN Rand, does she have a logical point that our first duty is to ourselves and we should not be ashamed of that? --- No. In fact, Rand sort of refutes this idea herself, as she frequently implies that there's no such thing as a duty. But Rand wasn't really practicing philosophy, she was practicing religion, which is far more tolerant of internal inconsistencies and counter-factual statements. |
