| Question: Please help me edit this short poem? Posted: 23 Mar 2015 04:55 PM PDT In a class I am taking, I must use 6 tricky words. I swtiched perspectives between the groom and bride. Tell me what you think. Thank you! The chic bride began to walk down the aisle. The bon homme groom stood at the altar, In a sotto voce tone, they whispered to each other, "I do." |

| Question: Does anyone know the author to this piece? Posted: 23 Mar 2015 03:01 PM PDT I read this on tumblr and I thought it was amazing. "When I was a child, I watched mother paint the house When she got to the windows I told her there was no need for paint there I could paint our windows With my breath. With my opened mouth, I showed her. Icicles grew until it ripped across the length of the window, The loops of my cursive 'A' peeled back the window, Stretching in the middle to reveal Droplets of spit. When I found him, fast asleep, on the footstep of my house I waited for him to wake up When he did, I told him I had already fallen in love With far too many empty words. He ran to his car Grabbed his suit and carried my words to outer space, Here, let them stay here. I sat and watch my words gnaw at each other. I wonder if from there, they felt how hot The stars burned against the cold air. When my words came tumbling back down From that gory gash that cut so deeply across the sky, I told him we can only fit so many words Into space. When I crawled onto his bed, into his sheets, I waited for him to undress I watched as he kept his last layer on. He took the layers he shed Tied them all and created a net I sat and watch as he fished for things to say. I wonder When did we start Using our words to fill emptiness. When I grew up, I learned how to paint myself With invisible ink. Watch how I disappear in pieces Watch before you Take another breath How quickly I can disappear before you wake." |
