| Posted: 18 Mar 2015 08:05 PM PDT From experience, I'll tell you right the **** now that self-teaching is probably the most inefficient way to learn. A little bit of laziness goes a long way in keeping you from picking up your instrument. Honestly it depends on how much you're willing to invest into it. Reasonably, purchasing a guitar, along with other materials would cost you an upwards of 2~500 dollars. |
| Question: Should I learn to play the violin or banjo? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 07:17 PM PDT I play the piano I'm in conservatory grd. 7, and the ukulele, and I know quite a few chords on the guitar. I also play a little harp, nothing fancy. My dad say violin sounds AWFUL when you first start practicing so I should go with the banjo. I really want to learn the violin though. What do you think? Update: Also does it sound that bad when you start learning the violin? My dad says it sounds really squeaky and horrible. Follow 6 answers
