| Question: Auditioning, acting career, next steps? Posted: 30 Mar 2015 03:30 PM PDT Talk to your parents. That's your next step. To attempt an acting career as a minor you parents have to be involved and be willing to be the CEO of your career. It's not like there are a bunch of open auditions you can go to until you're "discovered". For most professional work you have to be invited to audition, usually through a talent agent. And you can't hire an agent, it's more like they choose you. It's a business and you're the product that has to be marketed and sold. Professional acting involves contracts, unions, marketing (head shots, resumes, acting reel, websites), and networking to make industry connections. It's not that you get an agent and they take of everything. Your parents (and you) have to understand the industry. There are a lot of scams and rip offs out there. Check out these websites for more information: Good luck |
