| Question: What is love? (Continue the lyrics XD or answer philosophically)? Posted: 03 Apr 2015 09:00 AM PDT Most of what we call Love is nothing more than selfish attachment. Which is not love at all. Romantic love is especially selfish attachment .. we love the person as long as they make US feel good, and if that stops we end up no longer wanting to be nice to them and we usually leave them. Love is an action. As far as relations between men and women, really, what DOES love have to do with it? |

Agostino Steuco (1497–1548) coined the term philosophia perennis,[1] drawing on the neo-Platonic philosophy of Marsilio Ficino (1433–1499) and Giovanni Pico della Mirandola (1463–94). In the early 19th century this idea was popularised by the Transcendentalists. Towards the end of the 19th century the Theosophical Society further popularized the concept under the name of "Wisdom-Religion" or "Ancient Wisdom".[2] In the 20th century it was popularized in the English-speaking world through Aldous Huxley's book The Perennial Philosophy as well as by the strands of thought which culminated in the New Age movement. As a Christian I would merely reiterate what Jesus said - that he is the ONLY way to the Father, God. The Catholic Church may have something to say on the subject, but my Protestant view is that not all religions lead to God and that proponents of religious pluralism are promoting a man-made and unbiblical philosophy. |
| Question: How to become Sloth? Posted: 03 Apr 2015 08:30 AM PDT Just sit or lay around and don't do anything constructive. Make as many excuses as you can to justify doing absolutely nothing. On the job, cut corners, take multiple breaks, slack off, and avoid expunging effort. For extra points, don't even get a job; find someone to mooch off of. Also, don't use your brain. Always take things at face value instead of processing information in your head. Better yet, don't even bother to learn new things. |
