Question: How many a levels can you do at ballet schools in London?

All of the school's listed have several levels. As schools like the RBS are not RAD graded ballet but a more professional training that adheres to the schools own English ballet syllabus, dancers are put in levels by skills not primarily age. However at a certain level of achievement they are the same again as a dancer ages. If dancers don't live up to their potential they are let go. They will screen you for body, facility and musicality along with the level of training expected for a dancer your age. If you don't have all the requirements they will not train you.

What does it mean to "bounce" like bounce your hips in a dance class, and how do you do it?

I've recently started taking an interest in dancing, like taking a dance class and I've heard a few of my friends who dance talk about "bouncing" they obviously dont mean like jumping or anything like that. I saw one of my fiend's dances and they started by moving their hips to one side, like sticking them out and up to to the right with their hands on their hips, then pushing them back down, like in a side to side motion, but the right hip would stick up, then go back down. Is this what bouncing is? I;m a litttle confused. If it is it's clearly not just moving your hips from side to side. What is bouncing and how does one do it? I feel liek i should know how to do this if i'm going to take up dancing

Question: Why do you Dance?

It is linked with your emotion.
A dance can show different types of emotions; from sad to happy to even telling a story. It's wordless movements of emotion.
When you add music into dancing, it creates something both visual and sound.
Music also contains emotions and meanings.
You bring these 2 together and you get a powerful and intense result.
Either a professional dancer or doing it in your living room. You should be able to feel the energy and the emotions.

Dancing Questions? Dancers answer, please!?

Okay, so I am 12, (almost 13!) and I am getting started in Dance. I would like to take jazz, hip hop, Irish step, tap, and ballet. My mom says I can only take one class to start, (which I am sooooooooo mad about) and I can do more after. I really want to do them all at the same time. The problem is, I am also really busy, so she might be right about the 1 class to start. Is this a good idea? Or should I do them all at once? Also, how do I get my mom to let me do them all at once. She keeps saying how the Irish step dancing is at another studio then the others and how expensive it is etc. Please help!
