| Question: Solo mime skit ideas? Posted: 24 Oct 2014 10:03 PM PDT
For my drama class we have to perform a mime skit to music of the mime being in a specific setting (usually relevant to the music) and theres an intro a conflict and a solution. It has to be 1:30-2:00 min long. I've seen a lot of suggestions on here but none that I could really do for two whole minutes. |
| Question: How to become an actress? Posted: 24 Oct 2014 09:15 PM PDT It's great that you love acting - keep it up. Keep taking classes. Voice and dance lessons can be fun too. Audition for what you can - school plays, community theater and the like. then talk to your parents. Professional acting is a business and your parents will have to be actively involved. There are not a bunch of open auditions that anyone can go to. You have to be invited to audition, usually through a talent agent. And you can't just hire an agent. It's more like they choose you. Basically actors are not discovered - it's a big investment of time, effort and money for you and your parents. And there are a lot of scams and rip offs. So you have fun learning and growing as an actor and your parent research and learn what is really involved in an acting career. Then you can figure out if it makes sense for you to attempt a professional career at this point. Check the bizparentz.org website for more info. |
| Question: Should pay this much for headshots? and also should i pay for hair and makeup? Posted: 24 Oct 2014 08:31 PM PDT When you are a beginning actress, you do not need to use that much money for headshots. You can just take the pictures with a nice camera yourself, but it's really up to you. You should probably not get professional makeup artists, maybe once in a while, but not every time. I you feel you are bad at makeup, just practice and watch videos on YouTube which is free. Hope I helped |
| Question: Male audition songs for "Beauty and the Beast"? Posted: 24 Oct 2014 07:58 PM PDT I'm auditioning for "Beauty and The Beast" at my high school in a couple of months, and I was wondering what a good song would be to audition with. I'm shooting for Beast, but I'll take anything. They say that I'm the strongest male vocalist in the department, but I still don't consider myself that great. A few of the songs I have considered are: "Go Your Own Way" - Fleetwood Mac I have a bit of a higher voice for a male, but I can go relatively low. Thanks for any tips or ideas!! |
