my girlfriend and I are thinking about join a nudist club and we want to check them all out first because she has a little kid

The nationality of the owner. Names don't in themselves, have nationality - someone called Hayes could be British, American, Bolivian, Filipino or anything else at all.

Names do have linguistic and historical origins, however: and Hayes has three.

1. It's an English locational surname meaning '[dweller] at the brushwood/the hedge'.

2. It is that English name adopted by Irish people to anglicise the Irish surname "O hAodha" (often anglicised to O Hea) meaning 'descendant of Aodh'

3. In Scotland, it can be a translation of the Norman surname 'de la Haye', meaning either 'of the hedge' or 'from the town of La Haye'. There are several places in Normandy called La Haye.

On the 1930 census they ask age at first marriage. In the one I found for you,

"Huston" is 25, and 20 at first marriage
Daisy is 28 and 22 at first marriage
so, 5 or 6 years before 1930 or 1924/25.

The numbers don't match exactly because age is age at last birthday. If Houston is 25 when the census is taken in June, but will be 26 in August, he'd have 25 for his age, not 25 and 10/12ths..

I couldn't find a marriage record.
