What should I do when it comes to willing to work hard for my dreams?Ok so Next year I'm going to college. Every since i was little i always wanted to go to New York Film Academy. The thing is I'm in the process of graduating from high school and my mom once told me my dream of becoming an actress will go away if not accomplish it. I started taking acting classes for the first time and i can honestly say it feels amazing to learn and grow with other people with the same dream. I want to be smart about going to NYFA because If that doesn't work out I must have a back up plan that i will make money out of. I do not have a single idea what i want to become besides an Actress. Can you guys help me out? If this helps: Besides acting, I enjoy being around kids, helping the elderly, I'm interested in being a reporter, and criminal justice(Blood work) but I don't want to be for like 8 years in college struggling like i did in High School which is impossible if I want to become successful but hopefully some of you know what i mean.(No I don't want the easy ticket) Oh and other than NYFA I'm also thinking of John Jay College.. Is that one good for the things I'm interested in? |
| Question: How do I appear nervous on a stage for the play I'm performing in? Posted: 16 Oct 2014 09:54 PM PDT Flicker or roam your eyes frequently every couple of seconds or so, perhaps twitching of eye, constant tapping, constant scratching, fiddling of fingers, tapping, etc. Hope that helps! |

| Question: I'm 23, and I want to learn how to be an actor is it too late? Posted: 16 Oct 2014 07:50 PM PDT Do you have any training as an actor? Any experience acting? There are thousands of people struggling to be actors who have training and experience. If you show up without training or experience, you're going to have an even worse chance. If you're determined to do this, see the movie "That Guy, Who Was In That Thing" for a view of what the life of an actor is really like. |
